Chronology of cameras APEM

APM is a British manufacturer that emerged from the merger of several older manufacturers, including Rajar, Kershaw, and Marion, in 1921. APM stands for Amalgamated Photographic Manufacturers, as it's quite clear. The commercial brand is APEM, which is easier to pronounce than APM. In 1929, the association split, with a portion retaining the name APEM and becoming part of Ilford.

__________

Manufactured by APEM, this klapp is identical to the Soho Vest Pocket.

APEM is known for unique aesthetics on classic bases (such as the Rajar 6 or Soho Model B, for instance). The unusual shapes of the front face and its elements contribute to the beauty of this Vest Pocket, making it more attractive than the Vest Pocket Kodak or the Contessa Nettel's Piccolette.
